Sub-series 2. Department Files, 1958-1983, undated

Arranged alphabetically by subject, this sub-series contains Stauffer Chemical Company Department Files, which were collected and maintained by John E. Stauffer. The files in this sub-series document the activities of several Stauffer Chemical departments during John E. and Hans Stauffer’s tenures with the firm. To a limited extent, documentation of John E. and Hans Stauffer’s dealings with the represented departments is also found here.

The contents of the Department Files consist of a variety of materials. Correspondence makes up the largest component of the materials found in this sub-series. Smaller, but noticeable, amounts of reports and articles are also in these files. Small amounts of other miscellaneous materials, including, but not limited to, financial documents, notes, and press releases are preserved here as well.
