This is a school type notebook containing five pages of writings and two small black-and-white photographs. The entries are dated June 8, June 12 and June 24, 1942. The notebook details two experiments carried out by Warren G. Schlinger on aluminum alloys and Tintex dye at the end of his sophomore year at Cal Tech.

The materials in this collection document his activities with the Field Information Agency, Technical (FIAT), a U.S. Army agency that evaluated the state of German science and technology and made public German scientific and technological advances in the years immediately following World War II.
Arthur Fenner Brown Jr. notebook
Notebook contains lecture notes kept by Arthur Fenner Brown Jr. while attending the United States Air Force Radar School. The notes are written in pencil and contain technical information regarding United States Air Force radar technology. A small amount of graffiti by Brown, including "Kilroy was Here" drawings, are in this notebook as well.
