Smith, Edgar F. (Edgar Fahs), 1854-1928

One booklet, titled The Story of the Edgar Fahs Smith Memorial Collection in the History of Chemistry by Eva V. Armstrong, published by the University of Pennsylvania in 1937.

The 1877 reprint is entitled Tri-substitution derivatives of Benzol. The reprints from 1879 are On a new Base and On the Products Obtained by the Nitration of Metachlorsalicylic Acid.

Byers' notes are written in the form of a continuous narrative and are nicely illustrated by Byers. The course taught by Keller (who was partially educated in Germany) appears to have combined elements of both chemistry and physics.
