Laitinen, Herbert A. (Herbert August), 1915-

This correspondence between the Dutch-born analytical chemist Izaak M. Kolthoff (1894-1993) and his pupil Herbert A. Laitinen (1915-1991) who himself went on to an illustrious career as an analytical chemist.

This is a small collection of primary and secondary source materials offering an overview of Roger G. Bates' career. The collection includes his Masters and Ph.D. Theses, Technical Notes from the National Bureau of Standards where he spent the bulk of his career, teaching notes and notebooks from his later years at the University of Florida, Gainesville.
