Scope and Content
The L. Arthur D’Asaro Papers contain the personal papers of American physicist and electronics engineer L. Arthur D’Asaro. The collection is arranged into the following eight series:

Sub-series Description
Arranged alphabetically by subject, this sub-series contains L. Arthur D’Asaro’s files regarding gallium arsenide field effect transistors. They provide detailed documentation regarding the research and development work carried out by D’Asaro and his Bell Laboratories colleagues on this particular technology.
The contents of the Gallium Arsenide Field Effect Transistors Files sub-series consist mainly of Bell Laboratories technical memorandums. A variety of other materials, including, but not limited to, notes, presentations, photocopied articles, article reprints, drawings, and two silicon wafers are also found in this sub-series. A significant amount of accompanying photographic materials, which consist mainly of photographs, but also include a few slides, transparencies, and negatives, are preserved here as well.
