Sub-series Description
Arranged alphabetically by author and alphabetically by title, this sub-series consists of twenty Bell Laboratories notebooks. Nineteen of the notebooks were created by L. Arthur D’Asaro and one notebook was created by his Bell Laboratories colleague John C. McNeilly. They mainly document D’Asaro’s research and development work on various projects over the course of his career at Bell Laboratories. To lesser extent, some of D’Asaro’s other activities at Bell Laboratories are also documented. A very limited amount of information regarding John C. McNeilly’s research work and other activities at Bell Laboratories are also recorded here.
The contents of this sub-series consist of general notebooks and laboratory notebooks. All of the general notebooks are original. All of the laboratory notebooks are photocopies. A small amount of accompanying materials, including notes, graphs, mimeographed documents, correspondence, and a few photographs are found in the Notebooks sub-series as well.
