Scope and Content
The L. Arthur D’Asaro Papers contain the personal papers of American physicist and electronics engineer L. Arthur D’Asaro. The collection is arranged into the following eight series:

Sub-series Description
Arranged alphabetically by subject, this sub-series contains L. Arthur D’Asaro’s patent files. These files concern patents awarded to D’Asaro over the course of his career with Bell Laboratories. The files in this sub-series provide documentation of the legal processes through which D’Asaro’s inventions were patented in the United States. A limited amount of technical information for his inventions is also available in this sub-series. Information about Bell Laboratories’ policies regarding inventions patented by its employees is also preserved here.
The contents of the patent files consist mainly of copies of patents, patent applications, legal documents, and printed materials. Correspondence, lists, notes, patent certificates, and patent proposals are also found in this sub-series.
