Series Description
Arranged numerically by bulletin number and alphabetically by subject, this series contains bulletins printed by Beckman Coulter, Incorporated and several of its corporate predecessors. The materials in this series document the development and marketing of Beckman Coulter’s product line over the course of the firm’s history. To a lesser extent, they also document the firm’s efforts to provide technical support to its customers.
Most of the bulletins in this series were published by Beckman Instruments, Incorporated and a number of its divisions. This series also contains a noticeable number of bulletins printed by Beckman Instruments’ successor Beckman Coulter, Incorporated and its predecessor National Technical Laboratories. A smaller number of bulletins printed by the following Beckman Coulter predecessors: Arnold O. Beckman, Incorporated, Berkeley Scientific Corporation, Coulter Electronics, Incorporated, Helipot Corporation, Liston-Becker Instruments Company, and SmithKline Beckman Corporation are also included in this series.
Although the company officially designated these materials as "bulletins," this series actually contains a variety of printed items. Its contents consist mainly of brochures for products manufactured by the Beckman concern. A noticeable number of catalogs, price lists, and technical bulletins regarding Beckman products are also preserved here. Small numbers of other types of printed items, including, but not limited to, guides, handbooks, and calibrators, are found in this series as well.
