Sub-series Description

This sub-series contains Eugene Garfield's photograph collection. The contents of Box 121 are arranged alphabetically by subject. The contents of Boxes 122-126 are arranged by image size and alphabetically by subject.

A majority of the images in this sub-series feature Garfield himself, which include, but are not limited to portraits, images of Garfield with information science colleagues, with ISI staff, and participating in various professional, public relations, and recreational activities. A large number of images focusing on ISI are present, which include, but are not limited to, staff, facilities, artwork at the firm's Philadelphia, Pennsylvania headquarters, and various public relations and staff activities. A significant number of images of miscellaneous people, including, but not limited to, ISI staff, information science colleagues of Garfield, scientists from various disciplines, and artists are also preserved here.

Photographs of various sizes make up the bulk of the materials in this sub-series. A handful of photocopied images are also found in this sub-series. A small amount of accompanying materials, including notes and correspondence, are preserved here as well.
