The collection consists of two discreet series of records. Series I consists of items created or collected by Georg Bredig, while Series II contains items created or collected by Georg’s son, Max. The collection is arranged into the following series:

Sub-series Description
This sub-series primarily contains letters written to Georg Bredig, although several files include drafts and letter press copies of correspondence written by Georg Bredig. Files are arranged alphabetically by author. These files detail Georg Bredig’s scientific activities before 1933 and include a large amount of correspondence from Svante Arrhenius, Jacobus van’t Hoff, as well as Georg’s son, Max Bredig.
