The Herbert T. Pratt Papers contain the research files and memorabilia of American chemical engineer, chemistry historian, and collector of rare chemistry books and chemistry memorabilia Herbert T. Pratt. The collection is arranged into the following eleven series:

Series Description
Arranged alphabetically by subject, this series consists of miscellaneous materials collected by Herbert T. Pratt, which pertain to chemistry, dyes, and textiles. The materials in this series do not readily fit into any other series in this collection. It includes items from several types of creators, including, but not limited to scientific instrument and apparatus manufacturers, chemical companies, and chemists.
The contents of the Miscellaneous Materials series consist of a variety of materials. Letters and price quotations are the most common items found in this series. Other miscellaneous materials, including, but not limited to, class handouts, spectrophotometer analyses, song lyrics, and a photocopied broadcast manuscript are preserved here as well.
