Sub-series Description

Arranged alphabetically by subject, this sub-series contains Kurt M. Mislow’s class files. The files in this sub-series provide documentation of undergraduate and graduate level classes taught by Mislow over the course of his academic career. A large majority of the files in this sub-series concern classes taught by Mislow at Princeton University. Small numbers of files concerning classes taught by Mislow at New York University and the California Institute of Technology are also present here.

The contents of the Class Files consist of a variety of materials. Lecture notes, class handouts, and problem sets are the most common materials found in this sub-series. Smaller, but noticeable, amounts of exams, student evaluations, book lists, academic calendars, and class grade analyses are also present in these files. Small amounts of other miscellaneous materials, including, but not limited to, class roll books, journal articles, magazine articles, correspondence, miscellaneous notes, and a copy of Mislow’s publication Stereochemistry Study Guide, Fall 1976 are preserved here as well.
