Files pertaining to Princeton University’s Department of Chemistry constitute the largest component of this sub-series. Three files documenting Mislow’s activities with Princeton University’s Chemistry Community, which concern this body’s response to the Kent State Shootings and Vietnam War are also found in this sub-series. Four files concerning Mislow himself, which include those regarding his second Guggenheim Fellowship and his receiving a National Science Foundation grant are also present here. A single file regarding National Academy of Sciences foreign associate nominations is also preserved in this sub-series.
The contents of the Miscellaneous Files consist of a variety of materials. Magazine articles, newspaper articles, reports, correspondence, and resolutions are the most common materials found in this sub-series. Smaller amounts of other miscellaneous materials, including, but not limited to, notes, miscellaneous printed materials, minutes, and a bound Princeton University Chemistry Community meeting transcript are preserved here as well.
