Series Description
Arranged alphabetically by date, this series contains the correspondence of Yung Yang (Y.Y.) Huang, who served as Chairman of the Chinese American Chemical Society’s Tri-State Chapter from 1983 to 1987. The files in this series mainly document CACS’ activities at the national level, including, but not limited to governance, membership matters, symposiums, meetings, and operations. A limited amount of materials regarding the Tri-State Chapter’s activities under Huang’s chairmanship, including, but not limited to, panel discussions, social functions, and chapter governance are also preserved here.
Letters and memoranda make up the largest components of the materials in these files. Small amounts of other miscellaneous materials, including, but not limited to, drafts of CACS’ constitution and by-laws, flyers, reports, minutes, and newsletters are preserved in this series as well.
