The William A. Lester, Jr. Papers contain the professional and personal papers of African American theoretical chemist and chemistry educator William A. Lester, Jr. The collection is arranged into the following thirteen series:

Sub-series Description
Arranged numerically by format and alphabetically by subject, this sub-series contains floppy disks collected by William A. Lester, Jr. The floppy disks contain electronic copies of documents saved from Lester’s computers, which include, but are not limited to, articles and papers authored and co-authored by Lester, article and paper illustrations, administrative documents, and correspondence. A handful of floppy disks containing Wang software used by Lester are also present in this sub-series.
The contents of the Floppy Disks sub-series consist of sixty-six 3.5-inch floppy disks and twenty-eight 8.0-inch floppy disks. A printed glossary for a Wang word processing system is preserved here as well.
