Scope and Content
The William A. Lester, Jr. Papers contain the professional and personal papers of African American theoretical chemist and chemistry educator William A. Lester, Jr. The collection is arranged into the following thirteen series:

Sub-series Description
Arranged alphabetically by subject, this sub-series contains photographs collected by William A. Lester, Jr. Images of Lester himself and conference/workshop group photos are the most common items found in this sub-series. A few images of Lester with members of his family, Lawerence Berkeley Laboratory, and an unidentified molecule are also present here.
Color photographs make up the largest component of the images in this sub-series. A few black and white photographs, color photo reproductions, and a color photocopied image are preserved here as well.
