Sub-series 4. Speeches and Presentations, 1967-1989

Arranged chronologically by date, this sub-series contains speeches and presentations given by Albert Bowers as a Syntex Corporation executive between 1967 and 1989. Most of the speeches and presentations represented in this sub-series were given by Bowers at Syntex employee meetings (staff and managers), business and industry group meetings, and professional conferences. Speeches and presentations given by Bowers at other miscellaneous functions, including, but not limited to, Syntex social functions and award ceremonies are also present here.

Speeches and presentations given by Bowers concerning Syntex business matters, the direction of Syntex, and pharmaceutical industry matters make up the largest components of this sub-series. A few speeches and presentations covering other topics of interest to Bowers, including, but not limited to, retirements of Syntex executives, legislative matters, and public health and social issues (including AIDS) are also found here.

Speech manuscripts, presentation manuscripts, notes, and photocopies of presentation slides make up the bulk of the materials found in the Speeches and Presentations sub-series. Small amounts of miscellaneous accompanying materials, including correspondence and articles are preserved here as well.
