From the Collection:

The Robert B. Cody Papers contain the professional files and printed materials of American analytical chemist, mass spectrometrist, and inventor Robert B. Cody. The collection is arranged into the following three series:

Sub-series Description

Arranged alphabetically by publisher/author, this sub-series contains miscellaneous printed materials collected by Robert B. Cody. Most of the items in this sub-series were published by scientific instrument manufacturers. Small numbers of items published by textbook publishers and science journals, and a single item printed by the University of California, Berkeley are also present here.

Items concerning scientific instruments used for mass spectrometry applications and mass spectrometers make up the largest components of the Miscellaneous Printed Materials sub-series. Small numbers of items pertaining to computing languages and scientific instrument software are also found here.

Brochures are the most common items found in the Miscellaneous Printed Materials. Small amounts of other miscellaneous materials, including, but not limited to, manuals, textbooks, sales booklets, and reprints are preserved here as well.
