American Cyanamid Company acquired Calco's business and assets in January 1929 and Calco operated as a separate corporation until 1939, when it became the Calco Chemical Division of American Cyanamid Company. The division ultimately ceased to operate under the Calco name in 1954, when it was rechristened the Organic Chemicals Division of American Cyanamid.
