Chronicle of the Cruise of the Calco Corsairs
Scope and Content
This album consists of photographs, cartoons, and ephemera chronicling the voyage of the Schooner "Indra" in West Boothbay Harbor, Maine in the week of August 24, 1930 by employees of the Calco Chemical Company. The album was presented to Robert C. Jeffcott, founder and President of Calco Chemical, in recognition of his hospitality as host at his summer estate and includes a dedication from Jeffcott identifying those responsible for the creation of the album. While the subjects of each photograph are not identified, the album includes a roll call of the cruise's "officers and crew." A 1931 retrospectus of the voyage is also included.
