This is a collection of 21 letters, signed by eminent chemists of the modern era. All are typed and all but one is in English. Signers include Linus Pauling, Peter Debye, Road Hoffmann and Robert Woodward.

There is no real focus to the collection, in that Strong's principal interest was in the autograph rather than the contents, which are, for the most part, routine notes or inquiries. There are several Nobel laureates and a few outstanding American chemists represented.

This is assemblage of correspondence between Robert Mulliken and Harrison Shull, American quantum chemists.
