Scope and Content
The Paul M. Grinder Collection contains dyestuff industry sample cards and test cards collected and maintained by American dyestuff industry salesman Paul M. Grinder. The collection is arranged into the following two series:

Series Description
Arranged in its original order, this series contains dyestuff industry sample dye books collected and maintained by Paul M. Grinder. Materials created by Baychem Chemical Company’s Verona Division, a Bayer AG subsidiary and Grinder’s employer, make up the largest component in this series. A small number of items created by Bayer AG, and its subsidiaries Mobay Chemical Corporation and Miles Laboratories are also found in this series. A few items created by a handful of other dyestuff and colorant manufacturers, including, but not limited to, DuPont and Hoechst AG are also preserved here.
Sample dye books make up the bulk of the materials in this series. A handful of catalogs and sample cards are preserved here as well.
