Sub-series Description
Arranged alphabetically by subject, this sub-series contains NOBCChE printed materials collected by William A. Lester, Jr. All the materials in this sub-series were published or printed by the NOBCChE and they provide some information regarding the organization’s various activities between 1976 and 2006, including its Annual Meetings.
Issues of the periodical NOBCChE News, Annual Meeting proceedings, and Annual Meeting programs are the most common items found in this sub-series. A printed copy of Lee F. Browne’s paper Black Chemist: A Vanishing Breed?, Impressions and Prescriptions, and a single issue of National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) Newsletter are also present in this sub-series. A prospectus, a Recruitment Committee booklet, an Executive Board resource directory, and examples of San Francisco/Bay Area Chapter stationary are preserved here as well.
