Series Description
The Reproductive Tract Biology Conference was a series of biology conferences organized by the Gordon Research Conferences. Usually held every other year, this conference focused on the physiological, hormonal, and cellular aspects of reproductive tract biology in animals and humans. It was originally called the Mammalian Genital Tract Secretions Conference (1973-1977). From 1980 to 1986, it was known as the Mammalian Genital Tract Conference, then was subsequently renamed the Reproductive Tract Biology Conference (1988-2010). The last Reproductive Tract Biology Conference was held in August 2010.
Arranged its original order, this series contains files pertaining to the GRC’s Reproductive Tract Biology Conference. The files in this series mainly document the Reproductive Tract Biology Conferences held between 1992 and 2002. A single file containing materials pertaining to conferences held in 1988 and 1990 are also preserved here.
The Reproductive Tract Biology Conference files consist of a wide variety of materials. Correspondence makes up the largest component of this series. Smaller, but noticeable, amounts of attendee lists, proposals, programs, and financial documents are also present in these files. Small amounts of other miscellaneous materials, including, but not limited to, reports, directories, abstracts, and applications are preserved here as well.
