Biographical sketch

Kirtland McCaleb studied at Dartmouth College and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and his fields of interest have included health risks of chemicals and the economics of the chemical industry. He has worked for Eastman-Kodak, General Mills, Foremost Chemical Co. and SRI International. At SRI, McCaleb was Editor of the Chemical Economics Handbook and also initiated and then directed the Chemical-Environmental Program. Since retiring in 1992, he has been active as a chemical industry consultant.

This item is a 10 x 12 buff colored cardboard folder containing 166 manuscript pages of lab notes on yellowing paper. There is one detached page labeled Ten Number Ten loosely laid in. The notes are accompanied by attractive hand-drawn illustrations relating to the experiements.
