The American Society for Mass Spectrometry material is a miscellany of documents. The MS9 Users' Conference material was produced by Associated Electrical Industries, the manufacturers of this spectrometer. The Arthur Jeffery Dempster notes transcribed by Mark Gordon Inghram date from the early years of mass spectroscopy, while Wilson M. Brubaker manuscript' is an important early explanation of quadrupole mass spectroscopy. The course notes date from the closing years of Dempster's career after his discovery of Uranium 235. M. G. Inghram, who transcribed these course notes, himself became an atomic scientist of note.
