Ronne's accounts reveal that he did work in gold smelts and brass analyses and also taught French. Most of book remains blank suggesting that he only used the book for a few months and then discarded it. One page of the notebook written in pencil and headed Mar. 14 is in a different hand and records measurements for a man's suit, suggesting that a book was in someone else's hands at one point.
