Biographical sketch

OSHA, the Office of Occupational Safety and Health, began its work of monitoring workplace compliance to federal regulations regarding workplace training and safety in 1971. Part of its mandate regarding workplace safety clearly involves the monitoring of potentially hazardous substances. Foxboro Company began in 1908 as a manufacturer of machine tools. It has since become a recognized leader in the manufacture of industrial control systems, such as the MIRAN Portable Vapor Analyzer.
