Biographical sketch
Daniel W. Fox was born in Johnstown, PA on May 14, 1923. After service in WWII he attended Lebanon Valley College, then went on to do graduate work at University of Oklahoma, receiving his Ph.D. in 1952. After a brief period of postdoctoral research at Oklahoma, Fox accepted Employment with G.E., where he remained for the rest of his life. Fox died in Pittsfield, MA on February 15 1988.

Abstract
The Daniel W. Fox Papers are largely technical in nature and concern Fox's career at General Electric (G.E.) where, among other achievements, he discovered LEXAN polycarbonate resin.
