Biographical sketch

Abraham Zoss was educated at Notre Dame University and, as a graduate student, was part of Father Julius A. Nieuwland's acetylene group. He made his inspection tour of German polymer plant sites in the summer and fall of 1946 and was specifically interested in the work done by Walter Reppe and his research group at BASF. After the war he held management positions in various polymer concerns, and he currently is president of Business Development International. He is a past president of the American section of Societe de Chimie Industrielle.
