Museum exhibits -- Planning
Found in 3 Collections and/or Records:
Science in American Life exhibition files
This is a fairly extensive collection of ACS and Smithsonian records chosen to document the gradual breakdown in communications between the stakeholders in this exhibition. In assembling this material, Dr. Heindel wanted to insure that both sides of the controversy, not just the curatorial team's version would be heard.
Science in American Life exhibition files: Lang files
This is small collection of background materials to a exhibition mounted by the Smithsonian and sponsored initially by the American Chemical Society.
Traveling dyestuffs exhibit collection
This material relates to a traveling exhibit mounted by CHF (now Science History Institute) on the development of the dyestuffs industry. It is composed of material found loose in the collections. A number of slides found in the collection were separated for re-filing in the Science History Institute Image Archives.
