This is an Executive Summary of the Evaluation Report of the Field Testing Component of Chemistry in the Community (CHEMCOM). It has an attached note designating it "Original." The summary consists of 43 single sided pages plus two appendices titled "Opinionnaire Related to Objective and ChemCom Tests and Answer Keys." The document is neither an original typescript nor printed. It's a computer printout and is bound in a white cover with a clear plastic front.

The notebooks contain tentative lecture schedules on a range of topics, including water purification, waste disposal, cleaning and polishing agents stain removal, and aromatic compounds, as well as the procedure for writing out laboratory experiments. Additionally, forty-three laboratory exercises are detailed with topics ranging from stain removal and color-fastness tests, to qualitative analyses of commercial tooth pastes, deodorants, and face creams.

The collection consists of a card from the Registrar's Office listing McPherson's grades for 1916, a pass to enter and work in the university's chemistry lab, dated 1917, and a short request from Theo F. Buehreer to McPherson concerning the U.S. Army chemical service.

The Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine Materials contains materials relating to the refurbishment of the Chemical Teaching Laboratory for the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in London, England. Materials consists of correspondence, estimates for the project, and blueprints of the laboratory.
