This collection is divided into two series: AACC Standards Committee 1962-1972 which contains material gathered by Radin and Raymond VanderlindeStandards Committee 1971-1981 which contains records Vanderlinde entrusted to Radin dealing with the work of the Subcommittee n Enzymology that Vanderlinde chaired.

Biographical sketch

Nathan Radin earned his B.S. degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1941. After military service in the U.S. Army Petroleum Products Research Unit he received his M.S. degree from Columbia University and went on to earn a Ph.D. from Purdue University in 1951. Radin taught as an instructor in the Chemistry Department at the Rochester Institute of Technology and then became Chief Biochemist at he Rochester General Hospital. In 1967 he moved to Atlanta Georgia to accept a position at the Communicable Disease Center (later the Centers for Disease Control) and remained there until his retirement in 1986. In retirement he served as Editor for the AACC Davison on the History of Clinical Chemistry's quarterly newsletter. Nathan Radin died on December 15, 2010.
