Chemistry -- Societies, etc. -- History

The American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) Records mainly contain materials concerned with the history of the AACC and to a lesser extent, divisional records of the Ohio Valley Section of the AACC. The files in this collection contain correspondence, publications, conference records, and meeting records. The American Association for Clinical Chemistry Records were compiled by Samuel Meites.

Collection includes: Reprint of Lord Rutherford's Recorded Lecture at Gottingen, Ronald K. Smeltzer, 1997, 2 typed pages titled Two Earlier Lives, Photocopy of The Transmutation of the Atom by Lord Rutherford of Nelson 1933, 5 photopcoy pages of letters exchanged between Archibald MacDiarmid and Lord and Lady Rutherford, 1992 Program and Abstracts from Inorganic Anoranies 92, Booklet titled The Chemical Society Invites You, n.d., By-Laws of the Chemical Society booklet, 1954.

Photographs and lantern slides depicting group members, events, and buildings associated with The Chemist's Club in New York City, predominately from the 1940s through the 1990s.

The Records of the American Chemical Society National Historic Chemical Landmarks Program consist of administrative materials created and maintained by the American Chemical Society National Historic Chemical Landmarks Board Ad Hoc Committee.

This collection is largely comprised of materials relating to the Centennial Celebrations held in honor of the American Chemical Society by which Mrs. Ullyot was employed. There is also some material relating to the educational mission of the ACS. This is a small collection highlighting Barbara H. Ullyot's work with the American Chemical Society.

This collection is divided into two series: AACC Standards Committee 1962-1972 which contains material gathered by Radin and Raymond VanderlindeStandards Committee 1971-1981 which contains records Vanderlinde entrusted to Radin dealing with the work of the Subcommittee n Enzymology that Vanderlinde chaired.
