The Seymour Kletzien papers
Scope and Content
These papers consist of three series including: laboratory notebooks, manuscripts, and miscellaneous. The laboratory notebooks are undated and contain information on animal physiology and biology. The manuscripts date from the 1920s concern his research in biochemistry. The miscellaneous items include autographed reprints, and one of his student exercises on agricultural economics.

Biographical sketch
Kletzien was born in Wisconsin on April 1, 1900. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin in 1929. He worked as a clinical biochemist his primary areas of interest included mineral metabolism, anti-rachitic activation of yeasts, and biochemical evaluation of nutrition during pregnancy.
